2 Purdue IE labs print 3D brains
Two Purdue engineering labs collaborated to print a 3D model of a human brain.
The two Industrial Engineering/Biomedical Engineering labs combined the latest neuroimaging processing techniques on human brain data with state-of-the-art 3D printing technologies. A connectome is an object comprehending long-range fiber-bundles of white matter.
The labs are the CONNplexity Lab, headed by Assistant Professor Joaquín Goñi, and the FlexiLab, headed by Assistant Professor Ramses Martinez, both with joint appointments to the Purdue Schools of Industrial Engineering and Biomedical Engineering.
