Assistant Professor Zachary Hass joins Purdue IE on August 13.

Dr. Hass has a 60% appointment in the School of Nursing and a 40% appointment in the School of Industrial Engineering. His research focus is on health outcomes and program evaluation in health services research for older adults.

Prior to his current post, Dr. Hass worked as a post-doctoral research associate for the Purdue School of Nursing.

"The biggest draw for me about Purdue IE are the people and the opportunity for collaboration," said Hass. "There are a lot of tough, but important problems facing our healthcare system. I am looking forward to working alongside a great group to tackle some of those problems and help train up the next generation of problem solvers."

He received his BA in Statistics and Economics from Case Western Reserve University in 2011, where he also played free safety for the football team. He received his MS in Applied Statistics (2013) and PhD in Statistics (2017) from Purdue University.
