The Purdue Office of Professional Practice (OPP) inducted IE alum Geoffrey Cubitt (BSIE 1992) into the Cooperative Education Hall of Fame, along with three others, at a luncheon ceremony.

Cubitt completed the Co-Op program with seven rotations at Hughes Space and Communications (HSC). He then continued to work at HSC, where his work included business process reengineering, information engineering, and project leadership on ERP and PDM projects. He was a key member of the Information Systems architecture team, whose work led to HSC being ranked in Computer World's "Fabulous 5" Client/Server Companies in 1995. He was a founder of pioneering digital agency Roundarch, which became Isobar U.S. in 2012.

Cubitt spent 25+ years helping clients create transformational digital platforms and experiences. As CEO of Isobar, he led the company in tackling the largest, most complex problems in the digital space. For the past four years, Gartner's Global Digital Agency Magic Quadrant named Isobar a "Leader", with the highest score for Strategic Vision in 2018. Cubitt helped create HBO's award-winning digital ecosystem and Enterprise Rent-A-Car's global digital offering. He believes that the key to digital success is the integration of experience design and enterprise technology.

The event was held in the PMU North Ballroom on Sept. 14. Five past inductees also attended.

The Cooperative Education Hall of Fame was created in 2010 to recognize individuals who have had a significant influence on Purdue Professional Practice Programs, as well as alumni of these programs, who have demonstrated unparalleled excellence in their field. Individuals are nominated and approved by the Professional Practice Advisory Council, a group of Purdue faculty that aid in the oversight and implementation of Professional Practice Programs across campus. The OPP serves eight colleges and 48 different disciplines, offering 3- and 5-session Co-Ops, Master's Co-Op, Flex Co-Op, a global program (Global Engineering Alliance for Research and Education-GEARE), internship programs, and research experiences for Purdue students.
